Jennifer and Shawn

I'm pretty sure God made these two for each other. We waded through water, slid over mud, and subjected bare feet to sharp rocks and they just continued smiling and holding hands. We thought the weather might put a rain delay on the shoot, but in the end we ended up with some cool lighting and lots of water to play in. Here is just a glimpse at the images:

This is my favorite shot of the day.

I am excited to shoot the wedding this September!  Also, I updated my "about me" section a bit, check it out-oh, and I like comments ;)

Shayle & Tommy

Shayle was a gorgeous bride! I had so much fun shooting this wedding. Everything was relaxed and well planned and went off without a hitch!

I was lucky to get to work with
Cherish as my second shooter. God has blessed her with a very artistic eye - she got some really cool photojournalistic images. And apparently we both
like to work barefoot :)

I love this image-I have a thing for pianos :)

I was obsessed with her bouquet and dress! So pretty!

The bridesmaids and groomsmen were wonderful to work with. They didn't look at me like I was crazy when I asked them to try different poses :)

Thanks for letting us photograph your wedding! I pray God blesses your marriage :)

Help Us Help Our Friend Concert

I'm trying to catch up on blogging my latest photographic endeavors, and I actually have a little time on my hands as of late, so get ready for a lot of new posts :)

I have decided that concert photography is one of my favorite past times. This is by far one of the more difficult types of photography because the lights are constantly changing and the people on stage are moving everywhere, yet at the same time it yields some fun images.
Here are a few I captured at a benefit concert last weekend:

I was trying some different effects. This is what I call motion zooming. With the shutter speed slowed down, I zoomed while taking the exposure. I'm still working on this technique as it usually ends up just a blur without a focal point, but this one actually came out how I intended it.

I love how the light is hitting him in this photo.

The show was good, and I got to see a few people I hadn't seen in a while. More importantly though, the concert was benefiting Nick Martin, who was severely injured in a car accident last September. To read the entire story, click here. Please remember to keep him and his family in your prayers.

Natalie & Sydney

I went to a local park to photograph these precious girls. We had a lot of fun playing on the swings and splashing in the creek. I liked the photos so much they inspired me to finally start my photography blog :) The girls were so photogenic it was difficult to choose my favorite pics for this!

A little bit of sister love!

These girls have the eyes of angels!!!
